New complex workload traces from the Czech National Grid Infrastructure MetaCentrum have been published. The data sets contains:

• job descriptions (103656 jobs)
• node descriptions (14 clusters, 806 CPUs)
• list of queues
• descriptions of machines in maintenance (failures & upgrades)
• descriptions of dedicated and reserved machines

New version of Alea Grid and cluster scheduling simulator was published. It supports several new features such as visualization, resource failures, several workload trace formats and more.

As a part of Networked Visualization for e-Science symposium live uncompressed HD video transmission was demonstrated. Software UltraGrid was used for streaming live video from The Laboratory of Advanced Networking Technologies to SAGE tiled screen at SARA computer and network center. Both places were interconnected through CzechLight’s, StarLight’s and NehterLight’s high-speed fibre links. more »
